baby eden is here!

I have been looking SO forward to taking newborn photos for Joe and Karen since their maternity shoot (which also happens to be one of my favorite shoots to date). They knew they were having a girl, but kept the name secret – and isn’t Eden Elizabeth one of the greatest names you’ve heard? Baby Eden lives up to her name by being serious and cute all at the same time. I loved putting together this preview – Joe and Karen, I hope you love it too!

the coughlins

After 3 reschedules due to storms, 105 degree weather and power outages, we were finally able to connect with the Coughlin family for their summer family photos. We loved seeing how much the girls have grown since their last photoshoot, and of course, the girls were great to be around again!

baby drew is here!

Baby Drew is here! He joined sister Peyton about 2.5 weeks ago and is beautiful and fun just like his sister! Ashley had some great rugs, baskets and even a Tonka Truck for Justin, so we had a great time getting to know Baby Drew!

keturah and her kids

David and I were really excited to get pictures of Keturah and her kids – Maggie (16), Ben (14), Lydia (6) and Hank (4) were so much fun. The little ones loved posing for the camera – even though it was 100 degrees outside (and felt like 107)! Everyone pulled it together and looked great for the pictures – and Keturah even brought water balloons to cool down with at the end.

baby emma is here!

Sarah and Tom were surprised to welcome their little girl 7 weeks early – but after just two weeks in the NICU, she’s home, happy, healthy – and beautiful, of course. We had such a fun time getting to meet little Emma and take some photos. She is just the sweetest little girl you can imagine!

eric and his girls

David and I went down to Indianapolis for a concert and got to stay with Tricia, Eric and the girls again! We also were able to go to a beautiful Indy park and take some more pictures. Moira (4.5 months) has grown so much since her newborn photos and Liesel (2 years on Tuesday!) is just as silly and wonderful as ever! She makes lots of great faces – but as you will see, she definitely gets them from her mother 😉 Taking pictures with them is always a blast, and I am looking forward to many more photoshoots in the future!

the elmendorfs, plus one

Karen and Joe are expecting a Baby Girl in mid-July! It was so fun to do their maternity photos in the Arb this week.  They are so happy together, and Karen is such a joyful mama that they were so enjoyable to work with. I love their style (see the onesie, dress and shoes for their little girl) and know that Baby Girl is going to be so lucky to have such awesome (and beautiful for that matter) parents. Enjoy the pictures!

the boys are growing!

Our nephews are growing so fast! We love being able to document their changes each year. This photoshoot was neat because it was almost exactly a year after Luke was born. Now, the boys are 5, 3 and 1 – and all three have so much personality that is all their own.

Check out this picture – the first one is this year, the one below is from when Luke was 10 days old (courtesy of Nicole Ladonne Photography) – I can’t believe how big they are getting!

the howisons are in town

The Howisons have been family friends of the Reeves for much longer than I have known David. They gave him his nickname “Reeves David,” bought out half the stickers in Washtenaw County for cards, and threw us a bridal shower. All of the Howison kids have moved all over the country (Washington, North Carolina and Texas), so when Liz told me they would all be in town at the same time, we knew we had to get some photos! There are now four kids (ages 5, 4, 2, and 0.5) and even more laughs than there have been in the past. Hope you all enjoy your photos!

monty + his girls, part 2

Laura and Monty asked us to take pictures of the girls again six months after their last photoshoot to see how the girls have changed over time. It is so fun to see Lucy (turns 4 in March!) and Jules (turns 1 the day after Lucy’s birthday!) grow up. My favorite part is seeing them begin to interact as sisters. I’m looking forward to taking their pictures again in the future to see how quickly they change. We were even able to get a few pictures of Monty and Laura together. Check out the painting on the wall of the picture of the two of them – Monty painted that! Another awesome part was that my new camera came right before the photoshoot, so David was able to second shoot with me – yay! You’ll see many of his shots below.
